Credit Union Real Estate Network (CUREN)
What are the benefits of CUREN? Participating credit unions gain insight and education on current real estate topics including loan programs, regulations, proposed legislation, latest services from the three GSE's (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Federal Home Loan Bank), latest software, vendors that work well with credit union, etc. Also, CUREN meetings offer a great opportunity to network with other credit union professionals. Who can participate in CURENs? Any credit union that shares the network's interest in residential real estate finance. Real estate lending professionals other than credit union may also participate--contact you local CUREN to learn more about participation guidelines. How do I find a CUREN to participate in? CUREN stands for Credit Union Real Estate Network. CURENs are located though out the US and consist of local credit unions that want to increase the focus of residential real estate lending and finance in their credit unions. Credit Union participants range in asset size from $50 million to over $1 billion. Typically, CURENs meets monthly to discuss real estate lending and finance topics. Locate a CUREN near you.
