Colorado CUREN

About the Colorado CUREN

The Colorado Credit Union Real Estate Network is primarily composed of Real Estate Lending professionals from Colorado Credit Unions; but we also enjoy credit union members that represent Executive Management, Accounting, Technology, Marketing, and Operational professionals from Colorado Credit Unions.

The mission of the Colorado Credit Union Real Estate Network is tri-fold:

  • Education
  • Networking
  • Cooperative Marketing of Colorado Credit Unions as Mortgage Lenders

Education

The educational component of our meetings can cover multiple facets, to include: market demographics, economics, secondary marketing, legislative/regulatory compliance, underwriting, product guidelines, vendor innovations, and motivation.

Networking

One of the strongest pillars of the Colorado Credit Union Real Estate Network is to meet and become friends with your peers from other Colorado Credit Unions. The ability to share information, empathize with and to know who to call to for assistance is a great benefit. Mentoring is also available from your peers for those credit unions or credit union officials new to mortgage lending.

Cooperative Marketing

The Colorado Credit Union Real Estate Network has spread the good words of Colorado Credit Unions as Mortgage Lenders primary through state and local real estate associations. For many years, our members have participated in Realtor® annual conferences as exhibitors and educational forums as speakers and/or sponsors. Pictures

Sponsor Partners

The Colorado Credit Union Real Estate Network limits vendor participation to those organizations vested to assist credit unions become better mortgage lenders. New vendors must complete a vendor sponsor application and be approved by the Colorado Credit Union Real Estate Network Board of Directors prior to gaining access to the meetings and members.

Active vendor participation is limited to typically two vendor sponsors per meeting who provide either breakfast or lunch for the meeting. Vendor partners are allowed to address the meeting attendees for no more than 5 minutes when co-sponsoring a particular meeting.

Vendors who provide educational content as speakers are prohibited from promoting their products and/or services during an educational session unless prior approval is given by the Chair. In those circumstances, vendors are typically demonstrating a technological aspect of their offering. In either case a vendor presentation must not come across as a commercial for the vendor, nor should any aspect be derogatory or demeaning of other vendors operating with similar products and/or services.
