IMPORTANT MESSAGE Re: Comment Letter responding to the FHFA’s “Alternative Mortgage Servicing Compensation Discussion Paper.”
We have communicated with you our ACUMA members earlier this week on the important issue of Mortgage Servicing Compensation. This is a complex issue and we have attempted to bring together all of the concerned parties in the Credit Union system. Not only is this the time of year for sharing joy and well wishes we believe this is the kind of issue which requires the strength and unity of the entire Credit Union mortgage lending community to validate our opinions and concerns.
Tracy Ashfield, on behalf of ACUMA has spent endless hours with many of the key parties in the CU community to discuss the impact of these regulations on the Credit Union system. While this is not an issue that lends itself to one single opinion that stands out we do believe our Credit Union system, through CUNA has developed a response that is suitable and appropriate. We hope you agree however we want to provide all ACUMA members with one last opportunity to contribute to the discussion.
Please click here for the draft comment letter responding to the FHFA’s “Alternative Mortgage Servicing Compensation Discussion Paper.” This Comment Letter must be filed by Tuesday, December 27, 2011, unless FHFA grants an extension of time for comments (which is unlikely at this point). Please have any additional comments to me by the end of the day on Friday December 23, 2011.
Again, thank you in advance for any feedback on this draft letter. We appreciate your input.
I know your thoughts are headed for this holiday weekend, however if you would like to comment, please address it to Kristina A. Del Vecchio as follows…
