Why Banks Shun 30 Million Americans

While searching for a video of the interview with Richard Cordray, the new director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) I came across this little nugget of information. Interesting…in my opinion.

One thing I continually notice people still seem to be unsure exactly what credit unions are, how we operate and the services we offer. Food for thought? What do you think?
A quarter of U.S. households have few or no ties to the banking system, which hurts their financial future. Financial reform has made it even harder for banks to serve them, the Christian Science Monitor reports.
